Covenant Counseling Center Announcement Regarding COVID-19

UPDATED August 24, 2021

At Covenant Counseling, we are deeply committed to each of our clients as well as the communities in which we serve. That is at the heart of everything we do.

Your health and safety is our top priority. Our commitment to you and all our clients is that we are intensely focused on taking every step possible to continue to serve you during this time of need and I wanted to take a few moments to share with you some of the steps we are taking to address coronavirus (COVID-19).

Beginning March 17, 2020, we began seeing clients via teletherapy. We have slowly, and with great caution, increased our in-person services and, effective June 2021, have discontinued our virtual check-in process and opened our lobby back up for clients and their families to wait for or during appointments. We will still maintain increased sanitation protocols, routine temperature checks, screening questionnaires, and continue to require masks be worn by all persons in the building.

We use a HIPAA compliant platform to provide video therapy with clients. In person counseling is our preferred modality but both methods of service are warranted to meet the needs of all our clients. The safety procedures and teletherapy services being offered are the best steps we can take to promote safety and public health. Please call 423-765-0607 or check our website (covenantkpt.com) for updates.

This is a fluid situation and one we are following closely as we continue to implement guidance from local, state and national health authorities including the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Be assured we are taking all necessary precautions to keep our staff and our clients safe.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

Beth A. Kitzmiller, PhD, LPC-MHSP, LMFT
